Brain Injuries

Mild brain injuries are common due to the forces on the brain during the 4th phases. The brain bounces off the skull causing bruising in the brain itself. This leads to temporary confusion and disorientation after a crash and less commonly can cause patients to lose consciousness and have a mild concussion. Symptoms span a wide range from difficulty concentrating to visual disturbances to a decreased sense of taste.
