Webster Technique

Pregnant pain relief chiropractic servicesDr. Lindsay Taylor is certified in the Webster Technique. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment for pregnant women that facilitates bio mechanical balance in pelvic joints, muscles and ligaments. It has been shown to greatly reduce the incidence of breech presentation, and in the case of an already breech presentation this technique can help decrease intrauterine constraint, allowing the child to move into vertex (head down) position naturally on his/her own. Sacral and pelvic misalignment causes tightening and torsion of specific pelvic muscles and ligaments. It is these tense muscles and ligaments and the constraining effect they put on the uterus that can prevent the baby from comfortably assuming the best possible position for birth. It should be noted that the Webster Technique is in no way an obstetric breech-turning
technique, but rather it has been shown to reduce the effects of intrauterine constraint allowing the baby to naturally get into the best possible position for birth on its own, with the latest research showing an 82% success rate using this technique.
